How long is each driving lesson?
Lessons can be 1 hour, 1.5 hours or 2 hours, depending on your needs, progress and availability.
What do I need to bring to my first lesson?
Bring your provisional license, glasses or contact lenses (if you wear them), and comfortable footwear.
Do you teach nervous or anxious learners?
Yes - lessons are calm, patient and tailored to help you build confidence at your own pace.
What car will I learn in?
You'll be learning in a manual white Volkswagen Golf fitted with dual controls for safety and confidence.
Can I choose where to start and finish my lessons?
Yes, pick-up and drop-off can usually be from home, college/university or work, as long as it’s within the local area.
What happens if I need to cancel or reschedule a lesson?
Please give me at least 24 hours’ notice to avoid being charged for the missed session.
Do you offer help with theory test preparation?
Yes - you’ll get guidance, study resources and practice apps to help you prepare and pass confidently.
How do I pay for lessons?
You can pay by bank transfer or cash before or at the time of your lesson. Block bookings are available for better value.
When will I know I’m ready for the driving test?
When you can drive independently, make safe decisions and complete all manoeuvres smoothly under test conditions.
How many lessons will I need before I’m test ready?
It varies for everyone, but the DVSA average is around 45 hours of lessons plus 22 hours of private practice.
